1. * How can they claim to know God and have an acceptable relationship with him if they refuse to acknowledge him by his name?

* जब वे यहोवा को उसके नाम से पुकारने से इनकार कर देते हैं, तो वे परमेश्वर को जानने और उसके साथ एक अच्छा रिश्ता रखने का दावा कैसे कर सकते हैं?

2. And idle men joined company with Jephʹthah, and they followed him.

वहाँ कुछ बेरोज़गार लोग उसके साथ हो लिए और वे मिलकर अपने दुश्मनों पर धावा बोलने जाते थे।

3. (1 Corinthians 4:7) And if they cause us to be proud, they damage our relationship with him.

8. Then they brought him down to Gazʹa and bound him with two copper fetters, and he became a grinder of grain in the prison.

उन्होंने उसे ताँबे की दो ज़ंजीरों में जकड़कर कैदखाने में डाल दिया और उससे अनाज पीसने का काम करवाने लगे।

9. They told him that they received the invitation and “thought it looked interesting.”

उन्होंने भाई को बताया कि जब उन्हें न्यौते का परचा मिला तो उन्होंने “सोचा कि कार्यक्रम दिलचस्प लगता है।”

10. 31 And they kept pleading with him not to order them to go away into the abyss.

31 वे उससे बिनती करते रहे कि वह उन्हें अथाह-कुंड में जाने का हुक्म न दे।

11. They were also watching the gates closely both day and night in order to do away with him.

यहूदी उसे मार डालने के लिए दिन-रात शहर के फाटकों पर नज़र रखे हुए थे।

12. Then, to help him not to forget, they cut his ears off before sending him away.

इसके बाद उसे वहाँ से भगाने से पहले उसके दोनों कान काट दिए गए ताकि वह यह सबक हमेशा याद रखे।

13. How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard?

और वे उस पर कैसे विश्वास करेंगे जिसके बारे में उन्होंने सुना ही नहीं?

14. They named him Abel, which may mean “Exhalation,” or “Vanity.”

उन्होंने उसका नाम हाबिल रखा जिसका शायद मतलब है, “श्वास” या “व्यर्थ।”

15. 36 And they pleaded with him that they might just touch the fringe of his outer garment,+ and all those who touched it were made completely well.

3 वापस आने पर उन्होंने यहोशू से कहा, “ऐ पर हमला बोलने के लिए हमारी पूरी सेना को जाने की ज़रूरत नहीं।

18. They learned that Jehovah alone is the almighty God, and they now address him by his personal name.

मगर उन्होंने सीखा कि सिर्फ यहोवा ही सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर है और अब वे उसका नाम लेकर उसे पुकारते हैं।

19. Now, as he steps ashore, they gather around him, eager and expectant.

अब, जैसे ही वह किनारे पर पाँव रखता है, वे उत्सुक और प्रत्याशी होकर, उसके इर्द-गिर्द जमा होते हैं।

20. “Pass on over from here and go into Judea,” they advised him.

उन्होंने यीशु को सुझाव दिया: “यहां से कूच करके यहूदिया में चला जा।”

21. + 28 And wanting to find out the cause for which they were accusing him, I brought him down into their Sanʹhe·drin.

गौर कीजिए कि यीशु अपने चेलों के साथ कैसे पेश आया जब वे थोड़ी देर के लिए उसे अकेला छोड़ देने के बाद, वापस उसके पास आए?

25. 15 They said to him: “Sit down, please, and read it aloud to us.”

15 उन्होंने बारूक से कहा, “मेहरबानी करके बैठ जा और हमें खर्रा पढ़कर सुना।”

26. *+ 33 And when they came to a place called Golʹgo·tha, that is, Skull Place,+ 34 they gave him wine mixed with gall* to drink;+ but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

+ 33 जब वे गुलगुता नाम की जगह पहुँचे, जो खोपड़ी स्थान कहलाती है,+ 34 तो उन्होंने यीशु को पीने के लिए पित्त* मिली दाख-मदिरा दी। + मगर उसने चखने के बाद, उसे पीने से इनकार कर दिया।

27. + 23 But they caught the king of Aʹi+ alive and brought him before Joshua.

+ 23 लेकिन वे ऐ के राजा को ज़िंदा पकड़कर यहोशू के पास ले आए। +

28. They were enraged and tried to throw him off a cliff, but Jesus escaped.

वे क्रोध से भर गए और उन्होंने उसे चोटी पर से गिरा देने की कोशिश की, लेकिन यीशु बच निकला।

29. When his disciples and the crowds saw this, they realized that something special was afoot, so they gathered expectantly around him.

जब उसके शिष्यों और भीड़ ने यह देख लिया, वे समझ गए कि कोई ख़ास बात होनेवाली थी, इसलिए वे बड़ी प्रत्याशा से उसके इर्द-गिर्द आकर बैठ गए।

उसके साथ एक महिला है जो तिजोरी में है ।

31. (Isaiah 2:2, 3; Zephaniah 3:9) They also address Jehovah as “Father” because they recognize him as the source of life.

(यशायाह 2:2,3; सपन्याह 3:9) वे भी यहोवा को अपना “पिता” कहकर बुलाते हैं, क्योंकि वे मानते हैं कि वही उनका जीवनदाता है।

32. 53 But they did not receive him,+ because he was determined* to go to Jerusalem.

वे मनुष्य की हर इच्छा की पूर्ति करते हैं और जब भी आवश्यकता हो वे उनके समीप ही रहते हैं .

35. They affectionately remember him as Basavanna ( the final - anmz means an elder brother in Kannada ) .

वे स्नेह से उसे बसवन्ना कहकर याद करते हैं . ( कन्नड में अंतिम अन्ना का अर्थ है बडा भाई ) .

आप वह दूर इसके साथ मिल मतलब है?

37. The account concludes: “They brought the boats back to land, and abandoned everything and followed him.”

वृत्तांत आखिर में कहता है: “वे नावों को किनारे पर ले आए और सब कुछ छोड़कर उसके पीछे हो लिए।”

38. They value God’s approval above all else and look to him to reward their honest conduct.

वे घूमने वाले उपकरणों के साथ नहीं उड़, इसलिए वे केवल अपने पंख फड़फड़ा कर उड़ते हैं.

68. Here in Acts, however, Luke addresses him simply with the words, “O Theophilus.”

लेकिन प्रेषितों की किताब में लूका उसे “प्यारे थियुफिलुस” कहता है।

69. So he is at a loss as to what to do with him.

71. Thus, he could say with real satisfaction that his conscience did not condemn him with shame and guilt.

इसीलिए उसके दिल में सुकून था और वह कह सका कि उसका ज़मीर उसे धिक्कारता नहीं, जिससे वह शर्मिंदा या दोषी महसूस करे।

72. With remarkable accuracy, they foretold his speedy conquests.

उस पुस्तक में बिलकुल ठीक-ठीक भविष्यवाणी की गयी थी कि वह तेज़ी से जीत हासिल करता जाएगा।

73. Because they threshed Gilʹe·ad with iron threshing sledges.

क्योंकि उन्होंने गिलाद को लोहे के दाँवनेवाले औज़ारों से रौंद डाला।

74. 10 Later that night, in answer to a question put to him by the faithful apostle Judas (Thaddaeus), Jesus said: “If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our abode with him.”

10 उसी रात, अपने वफादार प्रेरित यहूदा (तद्दै) के एक सवाल का यीशु ने यह जवाब दिया: “यदि कोई मुझ से प्रेम रखे, तो वह मेरे वचन को मानेगा, और मेरा पिता उस से प्रेम रखेगा, और हम उसके पास आएंगे, और उसके साथ बास करेंगे।”

75. Are they with the sense of his “coming,” or do they indicate an extended presence?

क्या वे उसके “आने” का भाव देते हैं या क्या वे एक लम्बी उपस्थिति को सूचित करते हैं?

जो लोग वफादारी से यहोवा के स्तरों पर चलते हैं, उन्हें वह प्यार से एक न्यौता देता है। वे उसके “तंबू” में मेहमान बन सकते हैं, यानी वे उसकी उपासना कर सकते हैं और किसी भी वक्त उससे प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं।—भजन 15:1-5.

जब उन स्त्रियों ने जाकर चेलों को बताया कि यीशु ज़िंदा है और उन्होंने उसे देखा है, तो चेलों को यकीन ही नहीं हुआ।
