इसके अलावा नवम्बर, 2011 में श्रीलंका की समुद्री सीमा में एक नाव सहित 5 मछुआरों को स्वापकों तथा मादक द्रव्यों की तस्करी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है।

12. We are also aware of the case of some Indian nationals have been arrested in Sri Lankan waters on charges of smuggling narcotics and contraband.

हमें इस मामले की भी जानकारी है कि कुछ भारतीय राष्ट्रिकों को स्वापक एवं निषिद्ध पदार्थों की तस्करी के आरोपों में श्रीलंका की समुद्री सीमा में गिरफ्तार किया गया है।

13. But there are other issues - narcotics, trafficking in human beings - all these illegal activities.... we need a strong mechanism to track down these criminal elements.

इसके अतिरिक्त स्वापकों का अवैध व्यापार तथा मानव तस्करी इत्यादि जैसी समस्याएं भी हैं। इन आपराधिक तत्वों पर नजर रखने के लिए हमें एक ठोस तंत्र की आवश्यकता है।

14. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in exchange of information relating to terrorist activities, money laundering, narcotics, arms and human trafficking, and develop joint strategies to combat these threats.

दोनों पक्षों ने आतंकी गतिविधियों, धन शोधन, स्वापकों, हथियारों एवं मानव तस्करी के संबंध में जानकारियों का आदान-प्रदान करने में सहयोग संवर्धित करने तथा इन खतरों का मुकाबला करने के लिए संयुक्त रणनीतियों का विकास करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की।

15. They also agreed to enhance our cooperation in exchange of information relating to terrorist activities, money-laundering, narcotics, arms and human-trafficking and to develop joint strategies to combat these threats.

उन्होंने आतंकवादी गतिविधियों, हवाला, स्वापकों, शस्त्रों एवं मानव तस्करी के संबंध में खुफिया जानकारियों का आदान-प्रदान किए जाने की प्रक्रिया को बढ़ावा देने तथा इन खतरों का मुकाबला किए जाने के लिए संयुक्त रणनीतियां बनाने पर भी अपनी सहमति व्यक्त की।

16. Both Sides called for constructive international, regional and bilateral cooperation in order to help Afghanistan in addressing the domestic security situation, improving the capabilities of Afghan National Security Forces, strengthening counter-narcotics capabilities, ensuring socio-economic development, and enhancing connectivity.

In this regard, it was agreed to convene a series of Secretary level meetings on the issues of Counter-Terrorism (including progress on Mumbai trial) and Narcotics Control; Humanitarian issues; Commercial & Economic cooperation; Tulbul Navigation Project/Wullar Barrage; Sir Creek (at the level of Surveyor General/Additional Secretary) ; Siachen; Peace & Security including CBMs; Jammu & Kashmir; and promotion of friendly exchanges.
