1. The representatives on earth of Zion, God’s heavenly organization, must awaken to zealous activity.

‘시온’ 곧 하나님의 하늘 조직의 지상의 대표자들은 깨어서 열정적인 활동을 하지 않으면 안 됩니다.

2. 9 What are we to understand by Zion loosing herself from the bands of her neck; 2d verse?

5. The congregation of anointed Christians can be described as the modern-day “daughter of Zion,” since “Jerusalem above” is their mother.

11. 22 The Jewish exiles would not be able to bring themselves to think that Jehovah would leave Jerusalem (Zion) so abased with no temple as the house of their God and with no royal throne on which a descendant of King David sat as Jehovah’s anointed king.

22 ‘유대’인 포로들은 여호와께서 ‘예루살렘’(‘시온’)을 그렇게도 추락시키셔서 그들의 하나님의 집인 전도 없고 여호와의 기름부음받은 왕으로서 ‘다윗’ 왕의 후손이 앉을 보좌도 없이 버리실 것인가를 이해할 수 없었읍니다.

12. (Pr 12:4) The symbolic woman Zion was to become “a crown of beauty” in Jehovah’s hand, possibly denoting that she was the product of his workmanship being held up in the hand, as it were, so that others could view her with admiration. —Isa 62:1-3.

13. As we seek to build Zion in our hearts, in our homes, in our communities, and in our countries, may we remember the resolute courage and abiding faith of those who gave their all that we might enjoy the blessings of the restored gospel, with its hope and promise through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

우리 마음과 가정, 지역사회와 국가에 시온을 건설하려고 애쓰는 가운데, 우리가 회복된 복음의 축복을 누릴 수 있게 하기 위해 예수 그리스도의 속죄를 통한 소망과 약속을 마음에 품고 자신의 모든 것을 바쳤던 분들의 결연한 용기와 변치 않는 신앙을 기억하기를 기원합니다.

14. Having shared this warning, he counseled: “To become as God would wish us, we must accustom our minds to rejoice in seeing others prospered as ourselves; rejoice in seeing the cause of Zion exalted by whatsoever hands Providence may order; and have our bosoms closed against the entrance of envy when a weaker instrument than ourselves is called to greater honor; be content in magnifying a lesser office till called to a higher; be satisfied in doing small things and not claim the honor of doing great ones.”
