तत्पश्चात् मंत्री शर्मा ने विदेशी व्यापार, उद्योग और पर्यटन मंत्री श्री ग्यूलेरमो प्लाटा पेज से मुलाकात की और द्विपक्षीय व्यापार बढ़ाने के उपायों जो 2006 में 410 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के रिकार्ड स्तर पर पहुंच गया है; निवेश संवर्द्धन और संरक्षण समझौता करने की संभावनाओं; अधिमान्य सीमा शुल्क व्यवस्था आदि पर विचार-विमर्श किया ।

75. The Departments of Commerce of both countries are taking forward discussions on an agreement for cooperation on economic affairs with emphasis on trade and investment and also on technology which is essential for development.

उदाहरण के लिए परिवहन, ऊर्जा, व्यापार एवं विदेश, स्वास्थ्य, विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, सूचना समाज, लोक प्रशासन, सामाजिक विकास इत्यादि का उल्लेख किया जा सकता है।

80. Together with the youth and young professionals, it is the corporates : large, medium and small entrepreneurs, who must feel that they are important stakeholders in the process of improved trade, economic and investment activity between India and Bangladesh.
