8. The Joint Commission encouraged the two institutions to intensify their collaboration, including in the exchange of staff, researchers and graduate students/trainees, engagement in joint research activities and participation in seminars and academic meetings.

9. A total of 115 events – two Parliamentary meetings, fifteen Ministerial Meetings, fifty-six Senior Officials/Working Groups/Expert Groups, twenty-seven Workshops/Seminars/Conferences, three Track-II, and five events along the business pillar were held.

10. 5. India had earlier organized ARF Seminar on "UN Peacekeeping: Best Practices and Lesson Learnt” in March 2002 and has been participating in peacekeeping related workshops and seminars organized under the aegis of ASEAN Regional Forum regularly.

What it says is, it promotes cooperation in the areas of exchange of faculty members, students, administrative managers and coordinators, academic materials and other information, joint research activities, participation in seminars and academic meetings, special short-term academic programmes, joint cultural programmes, and study tours for administrative managers and coordinators.

16. The MoU will establish mutual co-operation framework in the areas of Capacity Building of “Afghanistan Accountancy Board (AAB)”, strengthening the IT Capacity and Quality Assurance in Afghanistan through facilitating Knowledge Transfer; Students and Members Exchange Programs; Conduct of Seminars, Conferences and Joint Activities mutually beneficial to both the parties.

Key opportunities in sectors like auto, defence and aerospace, food processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, electronics and information technology, pharmaceuticals, textiles, industrial equipment manufacturing, construction equipment, and infrastructure will be showcased through 21 seminars conceptualized and led by the key Union Ministries. They will be addressed by Union Ministers, Think Tanks, Industry Leaders, Academic Institutions, and Industry Associations.

19. At the Nagoya Protocol Workshop held in New Delhi on 4-5 September 2012, National Biodiversity Authority (NBA), Chennai, the ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), Manila have agreed to develop a detailed project proposal, including a work plan and budget for consideration under the AIGF for organizing workshops, seminars/conferences, exchange visits, providing scholarships for professionals working in the field of biodiversity in the ASEAN region to spread awareness on ABS.
