(c) & (d) In addition to ten LWRs to be set up with foreign cooperation, the indigenous programme envisages commencement of work on eight Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) of 700 MWe each after ensuring fuel supply linkages by opening up new uranium mines in the country, four Fast Breeder Reactors of 500 MWe each and a 300 MWe Advanced Heavy Water Reactor in the next 10 years.

(ग)और(घ) विदेशी सहयोग से स्थापित होने वाले 10 एलडब्ल्यूआर के अलावा स्वदेशी कार्यक्रम में देश में नयी यूरेनियम खानों को खोलने, 500 एमडब्ल्यूई प्रत्येक के चार फास्ट ब्रीडर रिएक्टर और अगले दस वर्षों में 300 एमडब्ल्यूई के उन्नत हैवी वाटर रिएक्टर खोलने के माध्यम से ईंधन आपूर्ति संपर्क सुनिश्चित करने के उपरांत 700 एमडब्ल्यूई प्रत्येक के 8 दाबानुकूलित हैवी वाटर रिएक्टर पर कार्य आरंभ करने की परिकल्पना की गयी है।

21. Discussions have progressed on the construction of additional Russian designed nuclear reactors at Kudankulam, and we have signed an agreement to broaden scientific and technical cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

इंटरनैशनल हेरल्ड ट्रिब्यून अखबार रिपोर्ट करता है कि सबसे ज़्यादा परमाणु ऊर्जा फ्रांस में पैदा की जाती है। वहाँ परमाणु रिएक्टरों को ठंडा करने के लिए हर साल करीब 190 खरब लीटर पानी इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, जो गर्म होने के बाद नदियों में छोड़ दिया जाता है।

24. (e) whether reports suggest that China has allegedly supplied nuclear reactors to Pakistan with the approval of the NSG and if so, the details in this regard and the reaction of the Government thereto?

25. After successfully hosting an IAEA Operational Safety Review Team at two nuclear power reactors in 2012, this year we have invited the IAEA to conduct a regulatory review of India’s Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

2012 में दो परमाणु ऊर्जा रिएक्टरों में एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परमाणु ऊर्जा एजेंसी की परिचालन सुरक्षा समीक्षा दल की सफलतापूर्वक मेजबानी करने के बाद, इस वर्ष हमने भारत के परमाणु ऊर्जा नियामक बोर्ड (एईआरबी) की एक नियामक समीक्षा करने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परमाणु ऊर्जा एजेंसी को आमंत्रित किया है।

26. 3.3(2). The Sides consider joint research in fast reactors, thorium fuel cycle, accelerator-blanket systems, high current protons and ion accelerator, and controlled thermo-nuclear fusion as important for the future of their strategic cooperation.
