1. With the abating of the floodwaters, an olive tree that had been submerged would again be on dry ground and could put forth leaves.

जब पानी सूख गया तो जैतून के पेड़ पर नयी-नयी पत्तियाँ निकलने लगी होंगी।

2. We can be “like a luxuriant olive tree in God’s house” —close to Jehovah and productive in his service— by obeying him and by willingly accepting his discipline. —Hebrews 12:5, 6.

वह कैसे? उसकी आज्ञाएँ मानकर और उसके अनुशासन को कबूल करने के लिए तैयार रहकर।—इब्रानियों 12:5, 6.

3. To become a luxuriant olive tree in God’s house, we must obey Jehovah and be willing to accept the discipline by which he “prunes” us so that we can bear more Christian fruitage.

यहोवा के भवन में सदाबहार जैतून पेड़ की तरह बनने के लिए हमें यहोवा की आज्ञा माननी चाहिए और जब भी वह हमें ताड़ना देता है, तो नम्रता से उसकी सुननी चाहिए। क्योंकि जब वह हमें ताड़ना देता है, तो वह हमारे बुरे गुणों को छाँट देता है ताकि हम ज़्यादा-से-ज़्यादा अच्छे गुण पैदा कर सकें।
