1. In the Department of Posts, the IP&TAFS is entrusted with the functions of finance advice, budgeting, tariff and costing, accounting and internal audit.

In Department of Telecommunications, the IP&TAFS performs the functions of assessment and collection of license fee/ spectrum usage charges, spectrum auction, USO scheme monitoring and subsidy management, exchequer control, budgeting, accounting, pension disbursement, internal audit and finance advice.

दूरसंचार विभाग में आईपीएंडटीएएफएस लाइसेंस शुल्क/स्पेक्ट्रम उपयोग शुल्क के मूल्यांकन और संग्रह, स्पेक्ट्रम की नीलामी, यूएसओ योजनाओं की निगरानी एवं सब्सिडी प्रबंधन, सरकारी खजाने के नियंत्रण, बजट, लेखा, पेंशन वितरण, आंतरिक लेखा परीक्षा और वित्त सलाह का काम करता है।
