They welcomed the Protocol on the results of consultations of the Trilateral Contact Group, signed on September 4, 2014, and the Memorandum on the implementation of the said Protocol signed on September 20, 2014, and expressed their hope that the provisions of these documents shall be complied with.

उन्होंने4 सितंबर, 2014 को हस्ताक्षरित त्रिपक्षीय संपर्क समूह के परामर्शों के परिणाम पर प्रोटोकाल तथा20 सितंबर, 2014 को उक्त प्रोटोकाल के कार्यान्यवन पर हस्ताक्षरित ज्ञापन का स्वागत किया तथा उम्मीद व्यक्त की कि इन दस्तावेजों के प्रावधानों का पालन किया जाएगा।

70. We would like to see that those go through quickly so that there is some time for people to be able to see how they have worked on the ground. We hope that the Opposition will at least accommodate what is a legitimate democratic duty as well as an entitlement.

हम यह देखना चाहेंगे कि ये सभी शीघ्रता से पारित हो जाएं ताकि लोगों के पास यह देखने के लिए कुछ समय बचे कि जमीनी स्तर पर इन्होंने कैसा काम किया है1 हम उम्मीद करते हैं कि विपक्ष कम से कम ऐसी चीजों में हमारा साथ देगा जो उनका वैध लोकतांत्रिक कर्तव्य एवं हक है।

71. फिर भी, ऐसा देखा गया है कि श्रद्धालु अपनी धार्मिक पूजा अर्चना और समारोहों के अपशिष्ट पदार्थ निकटतम जल स्रोतों अर्थात नदियों या तालाबों में प्रवाहित करते हैं, इसके पीछे हो सकता है कि उन्हें इस बात की आशा रहती है कि नदियां अथवा इसके सहायक नाले (अथवा कभी – कभी समस्याजन्य ढंग से रूके हुए जल स्रोत) भी इन अपशिष्ट पदार्थों को अपने आप में समाहित कर लेंगे और हमें माफ कर देंगे, वे इन सभी भारों को सहन कर लेंगे और लगातार प्रवाहित होते रहेंगे।

72. We have noted that the parties concerned are engaged in discussions to address the issue, and we hope that progress will be made with respect to implementation of Guidelines to the 2002 Declaration of Conduct on the South China Sea and the adoption of a Code of Conduct on the basis of consensus.

हमने नोट किया है कि संबंधित पक्षकार इस मुद्दे के समाधान के लिए आपस में वार्ता कर रहे हैं तथा हम उम्मीद करते हैं कि दक्षिण चीन सागर पर संचालन घोषणा 2002 के दिशानिर्देशों के कार्यान्वयन तथा सर्वसम्मति के आधार पर कोई आचार संहिता अपनाने के संबंध में प्रगति होगी।

73. Unfortunately these kinds of things happen and I do sincerely hope that our colleagues in Sri Lanka are able to see this in a perspective that the best or worst anyone could do about our relationship with Sri Lanka is being done and from this very moment we begin the story afresh.
