यहाँ के लोग, नदी-नालों के पास छोटे-छोटे गाँव बनाकर बस गए हैं ताकि उन्हें अपने खेतों और लामा, एल्पाका, विक्यूना और भेड़ों के झुंड के लिए भरपूर जीवनदायी जल मिल सके।

गर्भवती हथिनियों और उनके नवजात शिशुओं को बगल के ही बाडै में रखा जाता है जिसके चारों ओर 12,000 वोल्ट की बिजली के करेंट वाले तार का घेरा लगा होता है ताकि लफंगे और भटकने वाले जानवर दूर ही रहें .

7. 16 And it came to pass that they began to prosper by degrees in the land, and began to raise grain more abundantly, and flocks, and herds, that they did not suffer with hunger.

16 और ऐसा हुआ कि वे धीरे धीरे उस प्रदेश में प्रगति करने लगे, और अनाज अधिकता से पैदा करने लगे, और जानवर, और पक्षी भी, कि वे भूखे नहीं रहते ।

8. 4 And it came to pass that when they had prepared all manner of afood, that thereby they might subsist upon the water, and also food for their flocks and herds, and bwhatsoever beast or animal or fowl that they should carry with them—and it came to pass that when they had done all these things they got aboard of their vessels or barges, and set forth into the sea, commending themselves unto the Lord their God.

4 और ऐसा हुआ कि जब उन्होंने हर प्रकार की भोजन सामग्री तैयार कर ली, जिससे कि इसके पश्चात वे जल पर निर्वाह कर सकें, और अपने जानवरों के समूहों और झुंडों के लिए भी भोजन सामग्री तैयार कर ली, और जो भी पशु या जानवर या पक्षी ले सकते थे उसे ले लिया—और ऐसा हुआ कि जब उन्होंने यह सब कर लिया तो वे अपने नावों या नौकाओं में सवार हो गए, और अपने प्रभु परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा करते हुए समुद्र में आगे बढ़ गए ।
