1. That God could confidently entrust any of his creatures with such remarkable authority and power would in itself be a splendid testimony to the moral strength of his rule, contributing to the vindication of Jehovah’s sovereignty and exposing the falsity of his adversary’s allegations.

Que Dieu puisse conférer en toute confiance à une quelconque de ses créatures une autorité et un pouvoir aussi exceptionnels serait en soi un magnifique témoignage à la force morale de sa domination, et cela contribuerait à justifier la souveraineté de Jéhovah et à dévoiler la fausseté des allégations de son adversaire.
