Was it to be by aspersion (sprinkling), affusion (pouring on the head), or immersion (complete submersion)?

And even when the baptism rite is reserved for adulthood, youths are usually expected to follow their parents’ religion as a matter of course, not choice.

3. “임종시의 은총받은 상태는 구원받는 데 절대 필요하다”는 신앙을 재확증하면서, 그는 산파들에게 만일 신생아가 죽을 것같아 보이면 직접 세례 의식을 시행하라고 권하였다.

Reaffirming the belief that “the state of grace at the moment of death is absolutely necessary for salvation,” he encouraged the midwives to perform the baptism rite themselves if it appeared likely that a newborn child was going to die.

4. 2007년 4월 22일 교황청 산하 신학자문기구인 국제신학위원회는 교황 요한 바오로 2세로부터 위임을 받아 “세례 받지 않고 죽은 유아의 구원에 대한 희망”이라는 제목의 문서를 작성하였다.

On 20 April 2007, the advisory body known as the International Theological Commission released a document, originally commissioned by Pope John Paul II, entitled "The Hope of Salvation for Infants Who Die without Being Baptized."

5. 마찬가지로, ‘죤 칼빈’도 성서에의 고착은 말뿐이었으며 그의 주요 저서 「그리스도교 개요」에서 그는 삼위일체(제 1권), 인간은 자유 의지 없이 태어난다는 설(제 2권), 절대적인 예정설(제 3권) 및 유아 세례(제 4권)와 같은 비성서적 교리를 상술하였다.

Similarly, John Calvin paid lip service to the Bible, yet in his major work Institutes of the Christian Religion he expounded such unbiblical doctrines as the Trinity (Book I), man born with no free will (Book II), absolute predestination (Book III) and infant baptism (Book IV).
