1. 11 Violence has grown into a rod of wickedness.

18. It might be said that never have Jude’s severe censures been more apropos than now when wickedness abounds and the love of many has grown cold.

22. 12 Who were aseparated from the earth, and were received unto myself—a bcity reserved until a cday of righteousness shall come—a day which was sought for by all holy men, and they found it not because of wickedness and abominations;

23. “And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.

“보라 그는 시험을 받으며 육신의 고통과 주림과 갈증을 겪으며, 이러함으로 기력이 진하시리니, 죽음은 아닐망정 이토록 인간이 감당치 못할 온갖 고난을 겪으시어, 보라 주의 백성들의 간악함과 가증함으로 인한 큰 고뇌로 하여 온몸의 땀구멍에서 피가 흘러 나오리라.

24. But as for you, in case you have warned someone wicked and he does not actually turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked way, he himself for his error will die; but as for you, you will have delivered your own soul.” —Ezek.

가령 내가 악인에게 말하기를 너는 꼭 죽으리라 할 때에 네가 깨우치지 아니하거나 말로 악인에게 일러서 그 악한 길을 떠나 생명을 구원케 하지 아니하면 그 악인은 그 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 내가 그 피 값을 네 손에서 찾을 것이고 네가 악인을 깨우치되 그가 그 악한 마음과 악한 행위에서 돌이키지 아니하면 그는 그 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 너는 네 생명을 보존하리라.”—에스겔 3:17-19.

25. 23 And the Lord said: I will prepare unto my servant Gazelem, a astone, which shall shine forth in darkness unto light, that I may bdiscover unto my people who serve me, that I may discover unto them the works of their brethren, yea, their secret works, their works of darkness, and their wickedness and abominations.

23 또 주께서 이르시되, 내가 내 종 게이젤렘에게, 어둠 속에서 빛으로 비출 ᄀ돌 하나를 예비해 주어, 나를 섬기는 내 백성에게 드러내되, 그들에게 그 형제들의 행위, 곧 그들의 은밀한 일과 그들의 어둠의 일과 그들의 간악함과 가증한 일들을 드러내리라 하셨느니라.

26. 33 Wherefore, if they should adie in their wickedness they must be bcast off also, as to the things which are spiritual, which are pertaining to righteousness; wherefore, they must be brought to stand before God, to be cjudged of their dworks; and if their works have been filthiness they must needs be efilthy; and if they be filthy it must needs be that they cannot fdwell in the kingdom of God; if so, the kingdom of God must be filthy also.

33 그러한즉 만일 그들이 그들의 간악함 가운데서 ᄀ죽을진대, 의에 관한 바 영적인 것에 대해서도 그들이 ᄂ버림을 받아야만 하나이다. 그러한즉 그들은 그들의 ᄃ행위에 대해 ᄅ심판받기 위하여 하나님 앞에 이끌려 나와 서야만 하나니, 만일 그들의 행위가 이제까지 더러움이었다면 그들이 필연 ᄆ더러운 것이라. 또 만일 그들이 더럽다 할진대 필연코 그들이 하나님의 왕국에 ᄇ거할 수 없으리니, 만일 그렇다고 한다면 하나님의 왕국도 역시 더러워야 하리이다.

27. 8 And behold, the city of Gadiandi, and the city of Gadiomnah, and the city of Jacob, and the city of Gimgimno, all these have I caused to be sunk, and made ahills and valleys in the places thereof; and the inhabitants thereof have I bburied up in the depths of the earth, to hide their wickedness and abominations from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up any more unto me against them.

8 또 보라, 개디앤다이 성과 개디옴나 성과 야곱 성과 김김노 성 이 모두를 내가 가라앉게 하고, 그 자리에 작은 ᄀ산들과 골짜기들을 만들었으며, 그 주민들을 내가 땅 속 깊이 묻어 버려, 내 면전에서 그의 간악함과 가증함을 가리워서 선지자들과 성도들의 피가 다시는 그들을 쳐서 내게로 올라오지 않게 하였노라.

28. 9 And also that a knowledge of these things must acome unto the remnant of these people, and also unto the Gentiles, who the Lord hath said should bscatter this people, and this people should be counted as naught among them—therefore cI write a dsmall abridgment, daring not to give a full account of the things which I have seen, because of the commandment which I have received, and also that ye might not have too great sorrow because of the wickedness of this people.

9 또한 이러한 일에 대한 지식이 이 백성의 남은 자들에게와, 또한 이 백성들을 ᄀ흩어 자기들 중에 아무것도 아닌 것으로 헤아려지게 하리라고 주께서 말씀하신 이방인들에게 ᄂ나아와야 함을 알고 있는지라—그러므로 나는 내가 받은 계명으로 인하여, 또한 이 백성의 간악함으로 인하여 너희가 너무 큰 슬픔을 갖지 않게 하고자, 감히 내가 본 것을 전부 기술하려 아니하고 ᄃ작은 요약을 하노라.
