1. Any who responded also became recipients of Jehovah’s undeserved kindness and long-suffering.

호응하는 사람은 누구나 여호와의 과분한 친절과 오래 참음의 수혜자가 될 수 있었습니다.

2. For if by one man’s trespass many died, the undeserved kindness of God and his free gift with the undeserved kindness by the one man Jesus Christ abounded much more to many.”

“그러나 이 은사는 그 범죄와 같지 아니하니 곧 한 사람의 범죄로 인하여 많은 사람이 죽었은즉 더욱 하나님의 은혜와 또는 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜로 말미암은 선물이 많은 사람에게 넘쳤으리라.”

3. But an exception was made, and we received that undeserved privilege of advanced Bible instruction.

하지만 예외적인 경우로 받아들여졌고, 우리는 수준 높은 성서 교육을 받는 과분한 특권을 누렸습니다.

그러한 과분한 친절은 사람으로서는 도저히 설명하거나 표현할 수 없을 정도로 놀라운 것입니다.

6 또한 우리는 그분과 함께 일하는 사람으로서+ 여러분에게 권고합니다.

6. 7 Now undeserved kindness was given to each one of us according to how the Christ measured out the free gift.

7 그런데 그리스도께서 헤아려 주신 선물*의 분량에 따라 우리 각자에게 과분한 친절이 베풀어졌습니다.

7. So may we never start down the path of independence and indulgence in worldly practices from which we once were rescued through Jehovah’s undeserved kindness.

오히려, 성령을 구하는 기도를 하며 그 성령의 작용에 순복하도록 합시다.

8. 8 This undeserved kindness he caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding* 9 by making known to us the sacred secret+ of his will.

8 그분은 이 과분한 친절을 우리에게 풍성하게 베푸셔서 모든 지혜와 이해력*을 주셨는데, 9 자신의 뜻의 신성한 비밀을+ 우리에게 알려 주심으로 그렇게 하셨습니다.

9. By his undeserved kindness, Jehovah God arranged a process of “adoption” through which he accepts such favored ones and brings them into a spiritual relationship as part of his family of sons.

여호와 하느님이 과분한 친절로 “입양” 절차를 마련하셨다. 이 마련을 통하여 그분은 그처럼 은혜받은 자들을 받아들이고 자신의 가족인 아들들의 일부로서 영적인 관계 안으로 맞아들이신다.

10. 8 Moreover, God is able to cause all his undeserved kindness to abound toward you so that you are always completely self-sufficient in everything, as well as having plenty for every good work.

8 하느님께서는 자신의 모든 과분한 친절이 여러분에게 넘치게 하실 수 있습니다. 그리하여 여러분은 항상 모든 면에서 부족한 것이 없고, 모든 선한 일을 하는 데 필요한 것을 넉넉히 갖게 됩니다.

11. 7 That is why the apostle Peter could write: “Concerning this very salvation a diligent inquiry and a careful search were made by the prophets who prophesied about the undeserved kindness meant for you.

7 그러한 이유에서 사도 ‘베드로’는 이렇게 기술할 수 있었읍니다.

12. 12 Through Sil·vaʹnus,*+ a faithful brother, as I account him, I have written YOU in few [words],+ to give encouragement and an earnest witness that this is the true undeserved kindness of God; in which stand firm.

12 내가 충실한 형제로 여기는 실루아노를+ 통하여 여러분에게 몇 마디 썼습니다. + 그것은 여러분을 격려하고, 이것이 하느님의 참된 과분한 친절이라는 것을 진지하게 증언하려는 것입니다.
