1. Their steadfastness and loyalty deserve admiration.

2. 17 You, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard so that you may not be led astray with them by the error of the lawless people and fall from your own steadfastness.

17 그러므로 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 이것을 미리 알고 있으니, 불법한 사람들의 속임수에 의해 그들에게 이끌려 확고함*을 잃지 않도록 주의하십시오.

3. He also urged them: “Beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard that you may not be led away [by false teachers and ungodly men] and fall from your own steadfastness.”

5. Calling attention to this fact, the apostle Peter wrote: “You, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard that you may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from your own steadfastness.” —2 Peter 3:17.

6. Perhaps Peter has this in mind when he writes his parting admonition: “You, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard that you may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from your own steadfastness.”
