1. ‘I have sinned+ and distorted what is right,

‘나는 죄를 짓고+ 옳은 것을 왜곡했지만,

2. 8 When Adam sinned, Jehovah’s purpose was not thwarted.

8 아담이 범죄하였을 때, 여호와의 목적은 좌절되지 않았습니다.

3. If Adam had not sinned, he would have lived on earth forever.

아담은 죄를 짓지 않았다면, 땅에서 영원히 살았을 것입니다.

4. What was the outcome for Adam and Eve when they sinned?

아담과 하와는 죄를 지음으로 어떤 결과를 거두게 되었습니까?

5. □ Did God’s purpose for the earth and man change when Adam and Eve sinned?

□ 하나님께서는 ‘아담’과 ‘하와’가 죄를 지었을 때 땅과 사람에 대한 목적을 바꾸셨는가?

6. Confronted with his sins, David accepted responsibility, saying: “I have sinned against Jehovah.”

자신의 죄가 제시되자, 다윗은 “내가 여호와께 죄를 지었습니다”라고 말하면서 책임을 받아들였습니다.

7. He did not make a heartfelt acknowledgment of his having sinned against Jehovah.

그는 자신이 여호와께 죄를 지었음을 진심에서 인정한 것이 아니었읍니다.

8. 10 Then the Israelites called to Jehovah for help,+ saying: “We have sinned against you, for we abandoned our God and served the Baʹals.”

그래서 이스라엘이 크게 괴로워했다. 10 그러자 이스라엘 사람들이 여호와께 도와 달라고 부르짖으며 말했다. + “우리가 우리 하느님을 버리고 바알들을 섬겨 주께 죄를 지었습니다.”

9. We acknowledge that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), but we also declare with firmness that repentance and forgiveness can be as real as sin.

우리는 “모든 사람이 죄를 범하였으매 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못[한다]”는 것을 인정하지만, 한편으로는 회개와 용서가 죄처럼 실재한다고 단호히 선언하는 바입니다.

10. 16 Jehovah now reminds his people that they have sinned and encourages them to abandon their erring ways: “Return, you people, to the One against whom the sons of Israel have gone deep in their revolt.”

16 여호와께서는 이제 자신의 백성에게, 그들이 죄를 지었음을 상기시키시면서 잘못된 길을 버리라고 권면하십니다.
