1. The psalmist declared: “Know [recognize, acknowledge] that Jehovah is God.

2. What do the words addressed to him by the psalmist tell him to do?

시편 필자가 그분에 관해 한 말은 그분이 무엇을 하실 것이라고 말합니까?

3. Instead, we echo the words of the psalmist: “God is a refuge for us. . . .

‘우리는 변하는 정치 상황으로 인한 세계 평화의 거짓 희망을 장려하지 않습니다.

4. Addressing himself to the divine Author of that prophetic Word, the psalmist said:

그 시편 필자는 그 예언의 근원이신 하나님께 이렇게 말하였읍니다.

5. The psalmist David wrote: “Roll upon Jehovah your way, and rely upon him, and he himself will act.”

시편 필자 다윗은 “너의 길을 여호와께 굴려 보내고 그분을 의뢰하여라. 그분이 친히 행동하시리[라]”라고 썼습니다.

6. The psalmist says: “Rejoice in Jehovah, O you righteous ones, and give thanks to his holy memorial.”

시편 필자는 이렇게 말한다. “오 너희 의로운 자들아, 여호와 안에서 기뻐하고 그분의 거룩한 기념에 감사를 드려라.”

7. 15 The psalmist wrote: “Your word is a lamp to my foot, and a light to my roadway.”

8. 4:32) The psalmist David sang: “Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness. . . .

9. (Eze 13:10-16) The psalmist assures that unless Jehovah builds the house, the builders labor in vain.

10. The psalmist, who at the time was under extreme mental pressure, wrote: “The way of faithfulness I have chosen. . . .

11. By this poetic device the psalmist apparently refers to something scientists have only recently discovered: the DNA, or genetic information, in each cell.

성서가 형질의 “모든 부분”이 “기록”되었다고 한 점에 유의해야 한다. 시편 필자는 시를 통해서 과학자들이 최근에야 발견한 사실인 각 세포의 DNA 즉 유전 정보가 있다는 점을 명백히 지적한다.

12. In harmony with that heartfelt desire, may our constant prayer be that of the psalmist David as addressed to God in the midst of a hostile world:

마음에서 우러나는 그러한 욕망과 일치하게, 적의의 세상 가운데서 하나님께 드린 시편 필자의 ‘다윗’의 이러한 기도와 같이 우리도 계속 기도해야 합니다.

13. (b) The rider there corresponds with what rider addressed by the psalmist, and to whom does Paul, at Hebrews 1:8, 9, apply those prophetic words?

14. As we do, we too will be able to express sentiments like those of the psalmist who wrote: “Truly God has heard; he has paid attention to the voice of my prayer.” —Psalm 10:17; 66:19.

15. In addition, the psalmist speaks of those deserving God’s adverse judgment: “Pour out your rage upon the nations that have not known you, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon your own name.”—Psalm 79:6; see also Proverbs 18:10; Zephaniah 3:9.
