1. In the house of my Father there are many abodes.

그러자 예수께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨읍니다.

2. What “abodes” needed to be prepared for the apostles?

사도들을 위해서 준비할 필요가 있었던 “거할 곳”이란 무엇입니까?

3. But in what way would Jesus prepare such abodes for his loyal followers?

그러면 예수께서는 충성스러운 추종자들을 위해 그러한 거처를 어떤 방법으로 준비하실 것이었읍니까?

4. With his coming absence and his return in mind, Jesus said to his disciples when inaugurating the Memorial: “In the house of my Father there are many abodes.

예수께서는 그 기념식을 제정하실 때 자기가 앞으로 함께 있지 않을 것과 돌아오실 것을 염두에 두고 자기의 제자들에게 다음과 같이 말씀하셨다.

5. The heart of this 50- square- mile [130 sq km] city covers about 6 square miles [16 sq km], in which are found over 3,000 structures varying from humble abodes to tall, zigguratlike temples.

이 도시 면적은 130평방 킬로미터가 되며, 그 중심부는 약 16평방 킬로미터에 달한다.

6. “In ancient times people . . . looked upon celestial objects as abodes or omens of the Gods and thus intimately connected with events here on earth; they had no concept of the vast distances from the earth to the planets and stars.
