इस यात्रा के दौरान राष्ट्रपति जी नेपाल के राष्ट्रपति के साथ बातचीत करेंगे और आपसी हितों के विभिन्न मुद्दों पर नेपाल के उप-राष्ट्रपति एवं प्रधानमंत्री और अन्य नेताओं के साथ बैठकें करेंगे। नेपाल के साथ संबंधों को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य के साथ मैं अब उनमें से कुछ का प्रसंगवश उल्लेख करना चाहूंगा।

He also discussed TAPI, naturally, and briefed the Vice President on the fact that they were looking forward to moving on this project as quickly as possible, that considerable progress had been made in the planning and the preparatory stage of identifying the Transaction Advisor as ADB and having done some exploratory work already on identifying the construction aspects of the pipeline within Turkmenistan.

उन्होंने स्वाभाविक रूप से तापी परियोजना पर भी चर्चा की और उप राष्ट्रपति जी को बताया कि वे इस परियोजना पर जल्दी से जल्दी आगे बढ़ना चाहते हैं, यह कि एडीबी के रूप में लेन-देन सलाहकार की पहचान करने के आयोजना एवं तैयारी चरण में काफी प्रगति हुई है तथा तुर्कमेनिस्तान के अंदर पाइपलाइन के निर्माण से जुड़े पहलुओं पर पहले ही कुछ अन्वेषण कार्य हो चुके हैं।

69. MOU between DRDO and York University, Canada for cooperation in the areas of Joint Research and Development in Defence Science & Technology Dr V K Saraswat, Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri Dr Robert Hache, Vice-President, Research & Innovation, York University, Canada The MOU will establish a framework for cooperation and identify opportunities for collaboration in the areas of joint research and development in defence science and technology through information and personnel exchanges.

रक्षा विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी में संयुक्त अनुसंधान एवं विकास के क्षेत्रों में सहयोग के लिए डी आर डी ओ और यॉर्क विश्वविद्यालय, कनाडा के बीच एम ओ यू रक्षा मंत्री के वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार श्री वी के सारस्वत डा. राबर्ट हच, उपाध्यक्ष, अनुसंधान एवं नवाचार, यॉर्क विश्वविद्यालय, कनाडा यह एम ओ यू सूचना एवं कार्मिकों के आदान – प्रदान के माध्यम से रक्षा विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी में संयुक्त अनुसंधान एवं विकास के क्षेत्रों में सहयोग के लिए अवसरों की पहचान करेगा तथा सहयोग की रूपरेखा स्थापित करेगा।

70. The two leaders recognised that common interests of the two countries in the defence and security fields require steady and qualitative upgradation of cooperation between the two sides, including inter alia the expansion of the annual calendar of cooperation and exchanges relating to defence and security, Vice Minister/Defence Secretary level regular Defence Policy Dialogue, cooperation in sharing of experience in international peace cooperation activities under the aegis of the United Nations and counter-terrorism, information sharing in important areas of mutual interest, technical exchange, joint exercises and training and talks between the services.
