व्यक्ति केवल कल्पना ही कर सकता है कि ऐसी तुरन्त कार्यवाही ने इन शान्तिपूर्ण, विधिपालक नागरिकों को कैसे प्रभावित किया होगा!

39:7-9) इसके अलावा, हमें सबके साथ शांति से रहना चाहिए, गुस्सैल होने या उन कामों से दूर रहना चाहिए, जिनसे शांति भंग हो सकती है।

3. Being peaceable in the Scriptural sense implies actively promoting peace, sometimes making peace where it was previously lacking.

बाइबल के मुताबिक शांति के काम करने का मतलब है, शांति कायम करने में पूरी तरह जुट जाना और अशांत माहौल में भी शांति कायम करना।

6. When observers note people who are morally clean, honest, peaceable, and law-abiding, they view such people as different and conclude that they live by standards that are on a much higher level than those followed by the majority.

जब देखनेवाले उन लोगों को नोट करते हैं जो नैतिक रूप से स्वच्छ, ईमानदार, शान्तिप्रिय, और विधि-पालक हैं, तो वे ऐसे लोगों को भिन्न समझते हैं और यह निष्कर्ष निकालते हैं कि वे उन स्तरों के अनुसार जीते हैं जो कि अधिकांश लोगों के स्तरों से कहीं ऊँचे हैं।
