21. (a) This Ministry maintains data relating to emigration of workers, i.e. Emigration Check Required (ECR) category passport holders proceeding for overseas employment to the 18 notified ECR countries; namely Afghanistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Thailand, UAE and Yemen.

22. There was immediacy to it because in the context of the UN General Assembly Session which is already under way, there was a question of the acceptance of the credentials of the delegation of the Transitional National Council of Libya, and we have extended support to acceptance of their credentials.
