79. The prospects of the availability in the near future of blast - furnace slag in substantial quantities were good in view of the projected steel projects , and of cement production using such slag on an increasing scale needed to be pursued .

The Lao side agreed that hydro-power, mining, agriculture, construction, road and railway network, transportation, information technology and e-governance, steel making, small and medium enterprises offer considerable opportunities to Indian investors and agreed to make every effort to encourage Indian investors to enter into these areas of economic activity.

लाओ पक्ष इस बात पर सहमत हुआ कि जल विद्युत, खनन, कृषि, निर्माण, सड़क और रेलवे नेटवर्क, परिवहन, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी तथा ई-शासन, इस्पात निर्माण, लघु एवं मंझोले उपक्रम भारतीय निवेशकों को पर्याप्त अवसर उपलब्ध कराते हैं और वे आर्थिक क्रियाकलाप के इन क्षेत्रों में प्रवेश करने हेतु भारतीय निवेशकों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए सहमत हुए।
