जब हम दिल खोलकर दूसरों को माफ करते हैं, तो एकता और शांति बनी रहती है और आपसी रिश्ते बरकरार रहते हैं।

21. An indulgence does not forgive the guilt of sin, nor does it provide release from the eternal punishment associated with unforgiven mortal sins.

कोई किसी अपराध के लिये दंडित नहीं हो सकता, यदि उसने प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप में कानून द्वारा अमान्य कोई काम न किया हो या कानून द्वारा निर्धारित किसी अनिवार्य काम में त्रुटि नहीं की हो।

22. The point of this scenario is that we can lessen anger, disappointment, and other negative emotions with understanding, open-mindedness, and a willingness to forgive.

कहने का मतलब है कि अगर हम यह समझने की कोशिश करें कि गलती क्यों हुई, कबूल करें कि शायद हमें सारी वजह न पता हों और माफ करने के लिए तैयार रहें, तो हम अपने गुस्से पर काबू रख पाएँगे।

26. And if you suffer an affront or an injustice, what can help you to keep your emotions under control, react as Jehovah would want you to, and be willing to forgive?

अगर आपके साथ बुरा सुलूक या अन्याय होता है, तो क्या बात आपकी मदद करेगी कि आप अपने जज़्बातों पर काबू रखें, वैसे पेश आएँ जैसा यहोवा चाहता है और माफ करने के लिए तैयार रहें?

27. It is narrated that Muhammad said: "O God, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females.

हज़रत मुहम्मद ने यह दुआ पढी थी: "या अल्लाह, हमारे जीवित और हमारे मरे हुओं को माफ कर दो, जो हमारे बीच मौजूद हैं और अनुपस्थित हैं, हमारे युवा और हमारे बूढ़े, हमारे पुरुषों और हमारी स्त्रीयों, या अल्लाह , जो कोई भी जीवित हैं, उन्हें इस्लाम में जीवित रखो, और हे अल्लाह, हमें इनाम से वंचित न करो और हमें भटकने से बचालो।

28. 24 “And if your people Israel are defeated by an enemy because they kept sinning against you,+ and they return and glorify your name+ and pray+ and beg for favor before you in this house,+ 25 may you then hear from the heavens+ and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land that you gave to them and their forefathers.

24 अगर तेरी प्रजा इसराएल तेरे खिलाफ पाप करते रहने की वजह से दुश्मन से युद्ध हार जाए+ और वह बाद में तेरे पास लौट आए, तेरे नाम की महिमा करे+ और इस भवन में आकर तुझसे प्रार्थना करे+ और रहम की भीख माँगे,+ 25 तो तू स्वर्ग से अपनी प्रजा इसराएल के लोगों की बिनती सुनना+ और उनके पाप माफ करना। तू उन्हें इस देश में लौटा ले आना जो तूने उन्हें और उनके पुरखों को दिया था।
