2. Thus, when the enemies of God thought they had extinguished the true light by cruelly putting to death “the Chief Agent of life,” his followers carried on as the light of the world, preaching vigorously.

इस प्रकार, जब परमेश्वर के दुश्मनों ने सोचा कि “जीवन के कर्त्ता” की क्रूर रूप से हत्या करके उन्होंने सच्ची ज्योति बुझा दी थी, उसके अनुयायियों ने उत्साह से प्रचार करते हुए, जगत की ज्योति के तौर से काम को जारी रखा।

3. + 17 Because they have abandoned me and are making sacrifices smoke to other gods+ in order to offend me with all the work of their hands,+ my rage will be set ablaze against this place and it will not be extinguished.’”

+ 17 उन्होंने मुझे छोड़ दिया है और वे दूसरे देवताओं के सामने बलिदान चढ़ाते हैं+ और अपने हाथ की बनायी चीज़ों से मुझे गुस्सा दिलाते हैं,+ इसलिए मेरे क्रोध की ज्वाला इस जगह पर भड़क उठेगी और वह नहीं बुझेगी।’”
