1. (Acts 15:23-29) Christians were not required to get circumcised and keep the Mosaic Law.

+ 11 उसी के साथ रिश्ता होने की वजह से तुम्हारा ऐसा खतना भी हुआ जो हाथ से नहीं किया गया, बल्कि पापी शरीर को उतार फेंकने+ से तुम्हारा ऐसा खतना हुआ जैसा मसीह के सेवकों का होना चाहिए।

6. It has been suggested that since the conversion of uncircumcised Gentiles was under discussion in Jerusalem, Titus was taken along to demonstrate that Jews and non-Jews could gain God’s favor whether they were circumcised or not.

मसीही धर्म को अपनानेवाले खतनारहित अन्यजाति के लोगों के बारे में यरूशलेम के प्राचीनों में भारी बहस हो रही थी। इसलिए कहा जाता है कि तीतुस को यह साबित करने के लिए साथ ले जाया गया कि परमेश्वर की आशीष यहूदी और गैर-यहूदी दोनों पा सकते हैं, चाहे उनका खतना हुआ हो या नहीं।

7. Paul circumcised Timothy because they would be going to the homes and synagogues of Jews who knew that Timothy’s father was a Gentile, and the apostle wanted nothing to bar access to Jewish men and women who needed to learn about the Messiah.

8. In the year 49 C.E., the question of adherence to the Law was discussed by the governing body in Jerusalem, and they concluded that Gentiles who accepted the good news need not get circumcised and submit to the regulations of the Jewish Law. —Acts 15:1, 2, 28, 29.
