1. These functions include token issuance, initial scrutiny of the application forms, acceptance of fee, scanning of the documents and taking photos and biometrics.

इन कार्यों में टोकन जारी करना, आवेदन फार्मों की प्रारंभिक जांच करना, शुल्क प्राप्त करना, दस्तावेजों की स्केनिंग करना तथा फोटों एवं बायोमेट्रिक लेना शामिल है।

2. (a) & (b) The Ministry has exempted infants/ minor children upto the age of 5 years from giving biometrics (10 fingerprints) to the Passport Issuing Authority for processing their applications related to passport services.

(क) और (ख) मंत्रालय ने शिशुओं/5 वर्ष तक की आयु के अवयस्क बच्चों को पासपोर्ट सेवाओं से संबंधित अपने आवेदनों पर कार्रवाई के लिए पासपोर्ट जारीकर्ता प्राधिकरण में बायोमेट्रिक्स (10 अंगुलियों की छाप) देने से छूट प्रदान की है।

3. (vii) Only front-end activities, such as token issuance, initial scrutiny of the application forms, acceptance of fee, scanning of the documents, taking photos and biometrics are performed by the Service Provider’s staff.

(vii) सिर्फ फ्रांट एण्ड कार्य, अर्थात टोकन जारी करने, पासपोर्ट आवेदन पत्रों की प्रारंभिक जॉच करने, शुल्क स्वीकार करने, प्रलेखों की जाँच करने, तस्वीर खींचने तथा बायोमैट्रिक्स तैयार करने आदि जैसे कार्य सेवा प्रदाता के कर्मचारी द्वारा किए जाते हैं।

4. Front-end activities, such as token issuance, initial scrutiny of the application forms and acceptance of fee where applicable, scanning of documents, taking biometrics and photos, are performed by the Service Provider’s staff.

टोकन जारी करना, आवेदन प्रपत्र की आरंभिक पड़ताल तथा जहां लागू है वहां शुल्क स्वीकार करना, दस्तावेजों की स्कैनिंग, बायोमेट्रिक तथा फोटो लेना, जैसे शुरू से अंत तक के कार्य सेवा प्रदाता के कर्मचारियों द्वारा पूरे किए जाते हैं।

5. The proposed SID has provisions for bar coding of the biometrics based identity of seafarers and a centralized data base maintained in the issuing country, which can be accessed globally through an inter-operable and standard biometric template.

यह प्रस्तावित एसआईडी, बायोमैट्रिक्स आधारित पहचान पर होगा और इसके लिए जारी किए जाने वाले देश में एक केन्द्रीकृत डाटा बेस होगा जिसे विश्व में कहीं भी एक अंतरसंचालनीय और स्टैंडर्ड बायोमैट्रिक टेम्पलेट के जरिए हासिल किया जा सकेगा।

6. (a) & (b) The Ministry issued policy direction on 28 September, 2017 exempting infants/minor children below the age of five years from giving biometrics (10 fingerprints) to the Passport Issuing Authority for processing of their applications related to passport services.

(क) और (ख) मंत्रालय ने 28 सितंबर, 2017 को एक नीति निर्देश जारी किया था जिसके तहत पाँच वर्ष से कम उम्र के शिशुओं/अवयस्क बच्चों को पासपोर्ट सेवाओं से संबंधित उनके आवेदनों पर कार्रवाई करने हेतु पासपोर्ट जारीकर्ता प्राधिकारियों को बायोमीट्रिक्स (10 उंगलियों के निशान) देने से छूट दी थी।
