4. This committee was: Ali Uthman ibn Affan Abdur Rahman bin Awf Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas Al-Zubayr Talhah Umar asked that, after his death, the committee reach a final decision within three days, and the next caliph should take the oath of office on the fourth day.

यह समिति थी: अली उथमान इब्न अफान अब्दुर रहमान बिन अवेफ सैद इब्न अबी वकाकस अल-ज़ुबाय्र तलहा हजरत उमर ने कहा कि, उनकी मृत्यु के बाद, समिति तीन दिनों के भीतर एक अंतिम निर्णय ले, और अगले ख़लीफ़ा को चौथे दिन कार्यालय की शपथ लेनी चाहिए।

The apostle Paul wrote: “God, when he purposed to demonstrate more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his counsel, stepped in with an oath, in order that, through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we . . . may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope set before us.”

इसलिये जब परमेश्वर ने प्रतिज्ञा के वारिसों पर और भी साफ रीति से प्रगट करना चाहा, कि उसकी मनसा बदल नहीं सकती तो शपथ को बीच में लाया। ताकि दो बे-बदल बातों के द्वारा जिन के विषय में परमेश्वर का झूठा ठहरना अन्होना है, हमारा दृढ़ता से ढाढ़स बन्ध जाए, जो शरण लेने को इसलिये दौड़े हैं, कि उस आशा को जो साम्हने रखी हुई है प्राप्त करें।”
