1. During the early days of network television in the 1950s, Serry performed at CBS as a staff member of the original CBS Orchestra (1949–1960) and an accompanist on several live network television programs including The Jackie Gleason Show in 1953, The Ed Sullivan Show in 1959, The Frank Sinatra Show (CBS TV series) in the 1950s, and with organist Billy Nalle, on the prime time drama I Remember Mama in 1953 with Peggy Wood.

2. Publication of aeromagnetic/electromagnetic data (in both map and digital form) from airborne surveys over the Sullivan mining camp helped to revitalize exploration in this region of B.C. A publication that interprets the variation in electromagnetic conductivity of crustal rocks in the Snow Lake mining area has generated much interest from the private sector in the potential for technology transfer of this geophysical tool, as well as contributing to a better understanding of the structural geology in this area that will help target current and future exploration activities.

RNCan a offert à deux chercheurs chinois de l’institut Xian de recherche sur l’énergie électrique générée dans des centrales thermiques une formation sur la caractérisation des types de charbon et sur l’exploitation d’un modèle de combustion, le diagnostic des pannes et l’amélioration de l’exploitation et du rendement des centrales électriques alimentées au charbon. RNCan a entrepris des essais sur le terrain de son hydrocyclone au site Verlo de la Wascana et au site Lloydminster de la Husky en Saskatchewan, et au site Fort McMurray de la Suncor en Alberta.
