1. 5 In fulfillment of things written aforetime in the Holy Scriptures, Jesus Christ endured reproach and persecution even to a disgraceful death on a stake like a political criminal.

5 Comme l’annonçait ce qui avait été écrit jadis dans les Saintes Écritures, Jésus Christ endura l’opprobre et la persécution, au point qu’il accepta même de mourir dans le déshonneur, attaché sur un poteau comme un criminel politique.

2. This will was recorded aforetime in the Holy Scriptures and it marked out suffering and a disgraceful death for him as if he were a sinner, a blasphemer and a reproach to Jehovah God.

Cette volonté fut exprimée autrefois dans les Saintes Écritures et le destinait aux souffrances et à une mort ignominieuse comme s’il avait été un pécheur, un blasphémateur ayant jeté l’opprobre sur Jéhovah Dieu.
