1. (b) Refrain from detaining asylum seekers and aliens, promote alternatives to detention, and revise its policy in order to bring it into line with the Guidelines on the Applicable Criteria and Standards relating to the Detention of Asylum Seekers and Alternatives to Detention.

2. The Slovak Government considers that the objective of the Return Directive would be undermined if it was not possible to prevent a person staying illegally from absconding by detaining that person on grounds of, and on the basis of, the Return Directive even after an application for asylum had been made.

Le gouvernement slovaque considère que l’objectif de la directive «retour» serait compromis s’il n’était pas possible de s’opposer à la fuite d’une personne en séjour irrégulier en la plaçant en rétention pour des motifs et sur le fondement de la directive «retour» même après une demande d’asile.

3. Expresses deep concern at the reports of serious abuse and violations of international human rights law and violations of international humanitarian law in Yemen by all parties, including indiscriminate attacks resulting in the killing and injuring of civilians, and expresses deep concern specifically at the role of militias, including in the continued recruitment of children contrary to international law, the abduction of political activists, the detaining of journalists, the cutting of electricity and water supplies, and the attacks against hospitals and ambulances;

Se dit profondément préoccupé par les informations faisant état de graves violations des droits de l’homme et d’atteintes à ces droits ainsi que de violations du droit international humanitaire commises au Yémen par toutes les parties, notamment les attaques aveugles qui font des morts et des blessés parmi les civils, et se dit tout particulièrement préoccupé par le rôle des milices, notamment la poursuite du recrutement d’enfants en violation du droit international, l’enlèvement de militants politiques, la détention de journalistes, les coupures d’électricité et d’eau et les attaques contre des hôpitaux et des ambulances;
