1. The Slovak Government considers that the objective of the Return Directive would be undermined if it was not possible to prevent a person staying illegally from absconding by detaining that person on grounds of, and on the basis of, the Return Directive even after an application for asylum had been made.

Die slowakische Regierung ist der Ansicht, das Ziel der Rückführungsrichtlinie würde gefährdet, wenn es nicht möglich wäre, der Flucht einer illegal aufhältigen Person dadurch zu begegnen, dass diese auch nach Stellung eines Asylantrags aus Gründen und auf der Grundlage der Rückführungsrichtlinie in Haft genommen werde.
