Die, welche vorhanden sind (zusätzliche Zwischenwirbelgelenke vom Typ Hyposphen-Hypantrum, drei Sakralwirbel, verlängertes Pubis), kommen auch bei den Rauisuchia (Crurotarsi, Suchia, Rauisuchiformes) vor.Spondylosoma wird mit Vorbehalt zu den Rauisuchidae gestellt.
