In a judgment of 2 October 2008, the Tribunal d’arrondissement de Luxembourg (Luxembourg District Court), (Criminal Division) acquitted the appellant and her Head of Private Office of the charges of forgery, use of forged documents, and false statements, in the alternative, of unlawful retention of allowances and grants and, in the further alternative, of fraud (the ‘judgment of 2 October 2008’).
