As the historian Luke went on to record in Jesus’ prophecy: “There will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs . . . and on the earth anguish of nations, not knowing the way out . . . while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth.” —Luke 21:11, 25, 26.

ARE we living in the twilight of an age of uncertainty and anxiety where “men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth”?

13. Vì vậy, không có gì lạ khi mọi người “nhơn trong khi đợi việc hung-dữ xảy ra cho thế-gian, thì thất-kinh mất vía”, đúng như Giê-su đã nói trước.

Little wonder that mankind is in ‘fear and expectation of the things coming on the earth’ —just as Jesus prophesied.

14. “Sẽ có các điềm lạ trong mặt trời, mặt trăng... Người ta nhơn trong khi đợi việc hung-dữ xảy ra cho thế-gian, thì thất-kinh mất vía” (Lu-ca 21:25, 26).

(Matthew 24:29, 30) “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, . . . while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth.”—Luke 21:25, 26.
