3. * 재정: 정직한 십일조와 금식 헌금을 낸다. 예산을 세우고 그에 따르는 법을 배운다. 자기 수양 방법을 배운다. 불필요한 빚을 지지 않는다. 빚을 청산한다. 매번 받는 급여에서 일부 금액을 저축한다.

4. 금식을 지킨 “칠십년”은 기원전 617년에 ‘바벨론’인들이 처음으로 ‘유대’인들을 포로로 잡아간 후에 시작될 수 없었다. 왜냐 하면 그 일은 ‘느부갓네살’ 왕이 ‘예루살렘’을 포위 공격하기 약 구년 전이 될 것이며, 성벽을 뚫고 (‘담무스’월 9일) 도시를 멸망시키고 (‘아브’월 10일) 칠월 (‘티쉬리’월)에 ‘그달리야’를 암살하기 약 11년 전이었으며, 이 슬픈 사건들이 금식 기간으로 지켜졌기 때문이다.

The “seventy years” of observing fasts could not have begun after the first deportation of the Jews by the Babylonians in the year 617 B.C.E., for that would have been about nine years before King Nebuchadnezzar began the final siege of Jerusalem and also about eleven years before the breaching of the walls of the city (on Tammuz 9) and the destruction of the city (on Ab 10) and the assassination of Governor Gedaliah in the seventh month (Tishri), these mournful events being observed by the fast periods.
