1. लबानोन शर्मिंदा है,+ वह सड़ता जा रहा है,

Lebʹa·non is ashamed;+ it has decayed.

2. 8 इसलिए तू न तो हमारे प्रभु की गवाही देने से शर्मिंदा हो,+ न मेरी वजह से जो उसकी खातिर कैद में है।

8 So do not become ashamed either of the witness about our Lord+ or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but take your part in suffering adversity+ for the good news by relying on the power of God.

3. इसीलिए उसके दिल में सुकून था और वह कह सका कि उसका ज़मीर उसे धिक्कारता नहीं, जिससे वह शर्मिंदा या दोषी महसूस करे।

Thus, he could say with real satisfaction that his conscience did not condemn him with shame and guilt.

4. 14 मैं तुम्हें शर्मिंदा करने के लिए ये बातें नहीं लिख रहा, बल्कि अपने प्यारे बच्चे जानकर तुम्हें समझा रहा हूँ।

14 I am writing these things, not to put you to shame, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

8 For even if I should boast a bit too much about the authority that the Lord gave us to build you up and not to tear you down,+ I would not be put to shame.
