1. लोकहित में न्यायिक कार्य की उचित तथा युक्तियुक्त आलोचना से किसी की मानहानि नहीं होती .

2. अनुच्छेद 19 बोलने की आजादी के अधिकार पर युक्तियुक्त अंकुश लगाता है यथा , मानहानि की विधि का .

Under article 19 , the right of free speech is subject to reasonable restrictions , for instance , the law of libel .

3. हम ईमेल, फ़ैक्स और डाक के ज़रिए सबमिट की गई किसी भी तरीके से जानकारी देने वाली (फ़्री-फ़ॉर्म) मानहानि की शिकायतें भी मंज़ूर करेंगे.
