The hot melt adhesive contains a major amount of a meltable saccharide, e.g. a lower alkyl glycoside and a minor amount of a polysaccharide derived from starch selected from the group consisting of pre-gelatinized converted starches, cold-water soluble dextrins, and maltodextrins, and mixtures of more than one of such members of said group.

The invention relates to a combination material which is produced from a mixture of non-melting fibrous and/or chip-shaped particles and meltable thermoplastic particles and/or duroplastic particles in a prehardened condition by applying heat and pressure. The inventive combination material contains thermally crosslinking binders based on aminoplast resins and/or phenolic resins.
