2. Anastrozole was then withheld, and within 2 weeks the severe hypercalcaemic state turned into hypocalcaemia

In cases characterized by rigidity there were often tachypnoea, tachycardia, arrhythmias, acute heart failure, late neurological deterioration, hypoxia, respiratory and metabolic acidoses, hyperkalaemia, hypocalcaemia, elevated serum enzymes, impaired blood coagulation, haemo- and myoglobinuria, oliguria, and muscle biopsy abnormalities.
