2. “Aftershocks” is thematically structured like an earthquake, including the rumbling foreshocks and the shuddering ground after an upheaval

3. Even in areas where foreshocks are fairly common, there is no way of distinguishing a foreshock from an independent earthquake.

4. Aseismic slip distribution appears to be somewhat more spread out, which may be an effect of the larger uncertainty associated with GPS data after removing the contribution of foreshocks (as the co‐seismic prediction uncertainty propagates in the corrected GPS data)
