1. All pilots involved in the attack were awarded the Navy Medal and every crewman the Distinguished Flying Cross.

2. In subsequent aerial engagements, Foskett was officially credited with the destruction of 61⁄2 Axis aircraft and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

3. 17 Sqn Ldr Withers flew in the incredible Vulcan raids on Argentine-occupied Port Stanley during the 1982 Falklands War, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
