1. In general, the fee charged for an informal request is between twenty-five and thirty pounds, along with an increased rate of debit interest.

Requests for Abatement of interest for ministerial or managerial delay under IRC 6404(e)(1), Abatement of Interest Attributable to Unreasonable Errors and Delays by Internal Revenue Service, are processed according to procedures found in IRM 20.2.7, Interest, Abatement and Suspension of Debit Interest.
