1. He inquires as to whether there is room at her father’s house for him and those with him to spend the night.

2. When the girl inquires as to what the bird dreams of, the boy flatly asks if the girl still won't tell him what's inside her egg.

Khi cô gái hỏi giống như để tìm hiểu những thứ mà con chim mơ về, chàng trai thẳng thừng dứt khoát hỏi nếu cô gái vẫn không nói cho anh ta những thứ bên trong quả trứng của cô.

3. The Bible condemns “anyone who employs divination . . . or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead.”—Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Galatians 5:19-21; Revelation 21:8.

Kinh-thánh lên án: “Chớ nên có thầy bói...người đi hỏi đồng-cốt, kẻ thuật-số, hay là kẻ đi cầu-vong” (Phục-truyền Luật-lệ Ký 18:10-12; Ga-la-ti 5:19-21; Khải-huyền 21:8).

4. (1 Samuel 28:3-19) So “anyone who inquires of the dead” is being entrapped by wicked spirits and is acting contrary to the will of Jehovah God.—Deuteronomy 18:11, 12; Isaiah 8:19.

Vậy “kẻ đi cầu vong” là người bị ác thần phỉnh gạt và làm trái lại ý muốn của Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời (Phục-truyền Luật-lệ Ký 18:11, 12; Ê-sai 8:19).

5. + 10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire,+ anyone who employs divination,+ anyone practicing magic,+ anyone who looks for omens,+ a sorcerer,+ 11 anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium+ or a fortune-teller,+ or anyone who inquires of the dead.

+ 10 Trong vòng anh em, chớ nên có ai dâng con trai hay con gái mình qua lửa,+ xem bói,+ thực hành phép thuật,+ tìm điềm báo,+ làm thuật sĩ,+ 11 chớ nên có ai ếm bùa người khác, cầu hỏi đồng bóng,+ thầy bói+ hay người chết.
