5. We read: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men . . . will inherit God’s kingdom.”

8. “In my letter I wrote you to stop keeping company with sexually immoral people, not meaning entirely with the sexually immoral people of this world or the greedy people or extortioners or idolaters.

“Trong thư, tôi đã dặn anh em ngưng kết hợp với những kẻ gian dâm, điều đó không có nghĩa là anh em phải hoàn toàn tránh những kẻ gian dâm trong thế gian này, hay là kẻ tham lam, tống tiền hoặc thờ thần tượng.

10. For instance, the Bible states that “neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.”

11. (Proverbs 6:16-19) Such a man’s portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur —the second death— along with such wrongdoers as murderers, fornicators, and idolaters. —Revelation 21:8.

12. Paul enumerated some in his letter to the Corinthians, saying: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.”

13. 14 Earlier in his letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul made it clear that fornicators, adulterers, idolaters, homosexuals, thieves, greedy persons, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners, all of whom abounded in Corinth, would not be a part of God’s Kingdom.

14 Trong phần trước đó trong lá thư của ông, sứ đồ Phao-lô có nêu rõ rằng hết thảy những kẻ tà dâm, ngoại tình, thờ hình tượng, đồng tính luyến ái, trộm cắp, tham lam, say sưa, chưởi rủa, gian lận đều không hưởng được Nước Đức Chúa Trời.
