2. Do You Qualify to Inherit God’s Kingdom?

3. “Neither fornicators, . . . nor adulterers, . . . nor drunkards . . . will inherit God’s kingdom.”

“음란하는 자나 ··· 간음하는 자나 ··· 술 취하는 자[는] ··· 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못하리라.”

4. This old order will never help people to “inherit God’s kingdom.”

이 낡은 질서는 결코 사람들이 “하나님의 왕국을 유업으로 받”도록 돕지 못할 것입니다.

5. We are warned that “those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.”

음행하는 자들이나 우상 숭배자들이나 간음하는 자들이나 부자연스런 목적을 위하여 있는 남자들이나 남자와 동침하는 남자들이나 도둑들이나 탐욕스러운 자들이나 술취하는 자들이나 욕하는 자들이나 강탈하는 자들은 하느님의 왕국을 상속받지 못할 것입니다.

15. The Bible states regarding practicers of homosexuality: “Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals . . . will inherit the kingdom of God.” —1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Revised Standard Version, Catholic edition.

16. The apostle Paul warns that “neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men . . . will inherit God’s kingdom,” and to the list of vices he adds also “uncleanness, loose conduct.”

17. The Bible, however, states that it is God’s will for all to “abstain from fornication” and that “neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men . . . will inherit God’s kingdom.”
