1. Surely, those words are an assurance that Jehovah God will end the abuse of power.

2. (2:1-12) What an assurance that Jehovah’s Son will perform marvelous cures in the new world!

3. We expect no thanks, nor do we have the assurance that they will accept that which we offer.

4. But reflect, please, on the comforting Biblical assurance mentioned above —the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.”

9. But what comfort and strength we gain from the assurance that the Sovereign Lord Jehovah “will actually swallow up death forever, and . . . will certainly wipe the tears from all faces”!

10. McConkie expressed this truth in these words: “Faith in its full and pure form requires an unshakable assurance and ... absolute confidence that [God] will hear our pleas and grant our petitions”9 in His own due time.

11. These reduced requirements take into account the financial and other pressures that many are experiencing due to inflation and related factors, and will make it possible for one to serve Jehovah as a pioneer with a greater assurance of success.

All these statements about them, inspired by God himself, give absolute assurance that they are not interested in their own aggrandizement and glory (in fact, as heavenly rulers they could desire no material thing from their subjects), but are concerned with the people’s interests and everlasting welfare.
