In addition, the method of the present invention for drying organic waste having high water content comprises: feeding organic waste having high water content; bringing the fed waste into direct contact with a heat-transfer oil for drying; adiabatically compressing evaporative gas generated when the waste is dried; heating the heat-transfer oil used to dry the waste by the adiabatically compressed evaporative gas; condensing and cooling the evaporative gas used to heat the heat-transfer oil; and separating the condensed evaporative gas into oil and water.
