본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 오디오 신호를 디코딩하는 방법은, 오디오 신호의 프레임 데이터를 입력받는 단계, 랜덤 함수를 이용하여 프레임 데이터의 고정 코드북을 복원하는 단계, 프레임 데이터의 적응 코드북을 이용하여 쉐이핑 함수를 계산하는 단계, 쉐이핑 함수를 이용하여 복원된 고정 코드북을 쉐이핑하는 단계 및 쉐이핑된 고정 코드북 및 적응 코드북을 이용하여, 프레임 데이터로부터 오디오 신호를 합성하는 단계를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면 프레임 데이터 손실이 발생했을 경우, 적응 코드북을 기반으로 계산된 쉐이핑 함수를 이용하여 고정 코드북을 복원함으로써, 피치 주기를 강조하고 피치 주기 사이의 고정 코드북 영향을 줄여 합성된 신호의 품질 저하를 줄일 수 있는 효과가 있다.
