1. Far from keeping separate from the nations, the land ‘abounds’ with “the children of foreigners” —doubtless, foreigners who introduce ungodly practices to God’s people.

2. For example, when Jehovah decided to destroy the ungodly world in a deluge, he said to Noah: “Make for yourself an ark out of wood of a resinous tree.”

4. He also urged them: “Beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard that you may not be led away [by false teachers and ungodly men] and fall from your own steadfastness.”
