Being a practitioner and diplomat, I have outlined a broad conceptual framework to elucidate how we in the ministry of external affairs see opportunities and challenges in our extended neighbourhood, a vast swathe of region that looks set to see an accretion of economic power and geo-strategic clout in the years ahead.
